The IFS-UN team is introducing several important updates that will apply to upcoming events starting with this weekend. These changes are designed to preserve the integrity of IFS now that it contributes to Anomaly scoring, while maintaining an engaging experience for both new and veteran Agents.
Updated Agent Participation Requirements
To be eligible for the IFS badge, Agents must now Hack at least one passcode puzzle portal or the base portal during the official 2-hour event period.
This requirement is in addition to the existing criteria of checking in with event organisers and earn at least 10,000 AP. This ensures that all badge-eligible participants are actively engaging with the event on-site.
RSVP Accuracy and Event Bonuses
Accurate RSVP numbers are now more important than ever. Events with significantly inflated RSVP counts compared to actual attendance will face reductions in bonuses for future events, including less Ito En passcodes, Passcode output quantities or Restock portal rewards.
RSVP counts will be locked in on Wednesday 11:59pm UTC prior to the event. Organisers are strongly encouraged to review and clean up their attendee lists before this cut-off. These measures are intended to ensure fair distribution of rewards across all events.
Enforcement on Remote Participation
FS is a location-based event, and physical presence is required. Any organisers or cities found to be verifying agents who are not physically on-site will face a 12-month ban from hosting IFS events. This policy reinforces the importance of real-world participation and maintains a level playing field globally.
Reminders for Upcoming Events
- Ito En passcodes will be available for a limited time only, during May and June IFS events
- A 2× AP bonus will be active for all Agents between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM local time on event days
Looking Ahead
With IFS now contributing to Anomalies, maintaining event integrity is critical. These updates reflect a stronger commitment from IFS-UN to ensure that events remain fair, rewarding, and enjoyable for all participants.
