Chaotic matter units (CMU) are the currency used to purchase items in the store.
CMU can be obtained in the following ways:
- You can purchase CMU in exchange for real-world currency (or Google Play Store credit) in the store.
- Becoming a C.O.R.E. subscriber grants a monthly stipend of 2,500 CMU.
- Niantic has indicated that CMU may also be granted occasionally as part of a promotion, but this has not yet occurred.
