We’ve been watching the countdown to purchase tickets for Pokémon GO Fest: Chicago for almost two weeks. The ticket page is now live and teases us with some of the event details (while also leaving a bit of mystery)! Tickets sold out in under 20 minutes. We’ll post more details are they become available.

Increased Pokémon Encounters
Catch a wide variety of Pokémon, including some that have never been seen before in Grant Park. This is a great chance to fill in some gaps in your Pokédex.
Could this mean region exclusives are spawning? Rare Pokémon? I don’t know if we’ll be lucky enough to see legendary Pokémon like Mewtwo at this event.
Challenges and Rewards
Work together with thousands of Trainers in the park and millions around the world to complete challenges throughout the day and unlock amazing in-game rewards globally. More details about these challenges and rewards will be revealed in the coming weeks.
Guessing we’ll be rewarded with some of the new items teased in the new Gym/Raid announcement. Maybe some extra Raid Passes! This is exciting because it’ll allow everyone in the world to participate and not just those who are fortunate enough to go to the event.
Exclusive In-App Medal
Unlock an exclusive Pokémon GO Fest Chicago medal for your profile page—the first of its kind!
Now this is an exciting one! Like with Ingress, you’ll have a medal to show your participate for making the trip to attend this event. I could only guess that you’ll be able to view other Trainers profiles down the road which will let you show off your new shiny Medal.
Special PokéStops
Lace up your most comfortable walking shoes and get ready for the Pokémon GO Fest walking course, lined with PokéStops that award special 2 km Eggs which can only be obtained in Grant Park.
Like I mentioned above with catches, I think these special Eggs will include region exclusives and rare Pokémon, but not legendaries. Time will tell!
Team Lounges
Cool off and recharge in one of the three team lounges, where you’ll meet your fellow Instinct, Mystic, or Valor teammates.
This is such an epic idea! I can’t wait to meet team mates and other Trainers from around the world.
Early Admission
Sprint/Boost Mobile customers and booking with one of the sponsored hotels will get you in to the event an hour early! All Trainers can also visit participating Sprint/Boost Mobile stores to get a “Pokémon GO Level Up Patch” and “FREE code for special game items”. As far as we know, this is the first official Pokémon GO swag.
