The Niantic Investigation: Jan. 2016 Status Update

Hello there and welcome back to Fev Games as we explore the Niantic Investigation in 2016.

So what’s the most important thing that you need to know in order to jump in?

Well, this month has revolved around two major developments:

1. The #ObsidiusExplorer Breadcrumbs

So, at the start of the month, Roland Jarvis sent a message through the Portals to his Acolyte. The message:

Obsidius

What exactly is the Circle of Obsidus? We don’t honestly know… and that’s where the breadcrumbs start. Every day or so, a clue emerges through the Niantic Project G+ and agents seek the portal in the clue. Proof via video capture or pictures prove that they hacked the portal, obtained the media, and posting publicly will reward that user with a passcode reward.

From what we know, Obsidius was a Roman Explorer who seemingly possessed sensitive-like abilities. He was noticed by forces in his time and is currently tracking down a person named Magnus.

2. The launch of a new Investigation website-

investigate

You can find this new website at investigate.ingress.com. H. Richard Loeb launched this new site to help new Agents on board into the Investigation.

So, that is what’s been happening over at the Niantic Investigation in January. 2016 begins….#Obsidian is coming.

Serious investigators dig deeper. Seeking the truth, no matter where it may lead, is our calling. Faction, race, gender, age – none of these things matter here.
