Hello and welcome our look into the Niantic Investigation for September 2015.
So what’s been going on? What do you need to know in order to jump in?
The big thing to emerge from this month is the continued sneak peeks of Ingress: Origins, a comic book created by the sensitive artist Tycho. From what we know, this novel contains a treasure trove of information of how the Niantic Project was created and how all the major players in the world of Ingress came into the discovery of XM. The book is set to launch on October 14th, 2015. Preorders are still going on at comic book stores worldwide; check your local store for more details.
Other than that, the Investigation has been rather quiet in my opinion. At the start of the month, Klue began to continue her work in unraveling the mystery of Abbadon, ultimately drawing in the interests of Susanna Moyer and Hank Johnson, each who held their own questions that desired answers.
However, as the month rolled on, it became clear that there were entities that were committed to keeping Abaddon a secret by any means. Mysterious conversations retrieved from the Niantic Project G+ seem to indicate that both Klue and Moyer may be in potential danger if they continue on their path.
Finally, thanks to intel released by IQTech Research, we now know the sharded researchers of the Niantic Project that will emerge at the Flash Shard Anomalies in Houston, TX and in Boston, MA:
- Yuri Alaric Nagassa: an astrophysicist, raised among the ancient and native Anazktec tribe who possess a unique knowledge behind XM manipulation
- Misty Hannah, a stage magician who has also been a part of the previous NIA led initiative Project Whydah.
