What inspired you to submit your piece to the contest?
I wanted to win it for my country.
I found out about the Artwork Competition through some of my RES friends. They said: “Steven! You should go for it. Show us that you can be featured in an IngressFS.” And I could only think: “Oh, God, this is a really hard contest… But I’ll give it a try.” I wasn’t completely confident that my artwork would be selected, because when I finished it I felt it didn’t have enough content. I got help from my godfather, who reviewed it and I was able to use his input to improve the design.
Is there something about your artwork that you want people to know?
My artwork is inspired by the two great rivals of Enlightened and Resistance, with the Ingress platform in the background and the Ingress logo down below.
Is there a website where people can see your artwork?
Not at this time. I don’t have a personal website. I do this as a hobby and because I work with screen printing designs. Hehe, my works are only shown on my WhatsApp profile for a few hours sometimes. I may consider creating an electronic portfolio in the future.
Are there any details that you would like to share about your trade?
I prefer both digital and pencil. I like to do landscapes and edit characters. I want agents to be encouraged to share their art, not necessarily to win a contest, but for the chance that other people get to enjoy it, like my godfather did. That way we can improve and inspire others.
Do you plan to make swag of your image?
I usually do swag for my local community, but I haven’t decided on anything specific for this art. Perhaps I’ll make a biocard with it.

It fits in very well with the ingress theme and i feel fits nicely here at the end of the tessellation I am sure, like myself, many other agents will enjoy this piece!
