Virtual IFS Featured Artist- October 2020
Happy spooky month Agents! This month starts the new block of IFS featured artists and also marks our 12th month!!! It doesnt seem like it has been that long but it has been amazing to feature all of these talented artists. This month, after you decode your virtual IFS, you should get this amazing piece of artwork done by DarkCiabatta from Hamburg.
How long have you been playing?
Since Ingress year three.
What inspired you to submit your piece to the contest?
I posted a lot of ingress-artworks back then but sadly after google+ died my ingress past died with it. This was the chance to highlight my favorite ingress related artwork again.
Is there anything about your artwork you want people to know?
I have always supported cross-faction events. These two dragons in my artwork stand for the factions and their conflict.
As an representative of its faction, the green dragon has an enlightened eye and the blue dragon an resisting heart.
The enlightened dragon is smiling at the resistance dragon which seems to be annoyed. That’s how I recognized the relation between the factions in real life.
Are there any details you would like to share about your craft?
I switched to digital art many years ago. Since then I use photoshop and a wacom graphic tablet for drawing. After studying design, I became a professional film and game artist.
Do you plan to make swag of your image?
You can find some swag from me on redbubble and etsy but if anyone is interested in custom swag of the dragons I’ll see what I can do.
Agents do you hear that? You can find some of their swag on redbubble and etsy! And this artist does seem to be able to do some custom swag. If you get the chance, go and look at this artists other works! I know i have seen this artwork all over the place so it was incredibly exciting to finally get to hear from the artist behind it! Thank you so much for submitting your piece and doing our interview! Once again Agents, you can get this media from joining and participating in one of the many virtual IFS’s this weekend.
Please be mindful not to use this artwork(s) used in this post without permission of the artist. Thank you and we hope you participate in future IFS art competitions!
