Challenge page : http://www.ancientsocieties.com/shepherd/
The challenge text says Это было самое высокое дома в городе., it’s Russian for It was the tallest house in the city.
This sentence is enough to solve the challenge with Google but let’s do it the hard way with the picture…
There are some numbers in bottles. Some bottles are light, some are darker.
The light shape of bottles within the darker make me think of a keyboard.
We can use a Russian keyboard as the initial Challenge text is in Russian and superimpose it on the picture, that gives us :
Reading the letters under the numbers from 1 to 11 you will get : архангельск
You can use this site to type in the letters : https://www.branah.com/russianphonetic
If you Google that, you will find http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arkhangelsk where you can read :
An unusual example of local “vernacular architecture” was the so-called Sutyagin house. This thirteen-story, 44-meter (144 ft) tall residence of the local entrepreneur Nikolay Petrovich Sutyagin was reported to be the world’s, or at least Russia’s, tallest wooden house.
The solution is sutyaginhouse
