Week 17 – Challenge 2 – Symbols

Challenge page : http://www.ancientsocieties.com/symbols/

No Challenge text, only the picture with a Kanji character (a Japanese character) linked to the letter J, two Arabic characters linked to the letter A, and a question mark ? linked to the letter E

symbols

Am I clear enough?

Ok let’s assume everybody understood :
– the J means Japanese and is linked to the Kanji character
– the A means Arabic and is linked to the Arabic characters
– the E means English and is linked to the question mark ‘?’

So we need to find what the ‘?’ stands for.

The Kanji character is 鴨 and means Duck (http://jisho.org/words?jap=%E9%B4%A8&eng=&dict=edict)

The Arabic characters ب‎ط means also Duck (Find the characters here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arabic_alphabet and use Google translate, but be careful with the reading direction)

Let’s say the triangle is the symbol of the femininity http://symboldictionary.net/?tag=triangle

So with have Duck two times and femininity

An alternative way to find the solution with the two ducks is to think about the Duck Duck Goose game (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duck,_duck,_goose)

The answer is goose 🙂
